We'll be straight with you: a machine holds the pen. But it's a pen - a real ballpoint, pressed into real card stock, with the pressure changes and small imperfections of human writing. Not a font. Not inkjet. If you rub your thumb across an Inkly card you feel the grooves.

Five handwriting styles, each a complete pen profile: letterforms, slant, spacing, pressure. Six printed card designs on heavyweight ivory stock. You preview your exact message in your chosen hand before you pay - try it now.

The machines write

Each card is written individually, stroke by stroke, with a ballpoint pen. A 400-character note takes about three minutes of actual writing. The envelope is addressed in the same hand, because a typed envelope gives the game away before it's opened.

Stamped, mailed, confirmed

The envelope is addressed in the same pen, with a real first-class stamp - no postage meter marks. Cards go out within two business days of your order, and you get an email confirmation when your batch hits the mail stream.

The details people ask about

Questions, answered plainly.

Is it really a pen?: Yes. A ballpoint, held by the machine, writing one letter at a time. Ink soaks into the paper and the pen tip leaves a physical groove.
Will recipients think a human wrote it?: Most do. The style has natural variation, and the envelope is addressed in the same pen with a real stamp. We don't print "sent via Inkly" anywhere unless you ask us to.
How fast can you mail 500 cards?: Standard turnaround is two business days to mail for orders up to 500 cards. Larger runs get a date estimate at checkout.
What if an address is wrong?: We validate format on upload and flag anything broken before you pay. Undeliverable returns get reported back to you so your list gets cleaner over time.
