Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because every Inkly card is written with a real pen and then mailed, what can be cancelled or refunded depends on where your order is in production. This policy explains the rules. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Cancelling before writing starts

You can cancel an order for a full refund any time before a card in that order has been written. While nothing has been written, the "Cancel order" action is available on your dashboard, or you can email us. The refund is issued to your original payment method.

Once writing or mailing has begun

After a card has been written, the order can no longer be cancelled, because the pen-on-paper work and materials are already committed. Cards that have been mailed are final. This is the trade-off for genuinely handwritten mail produced on demand.

If we make a mistake

If a card is defective, written in the wrong style, or carries the wrong message because of our error, we will re-make and re-mail it at no charge, or refund that card, at your choice. Tell us within 30 days of the mail date at hello@byinkly.com.

Address errors and returned mail

You are responsible for the accuracy of the names and addresses you submit. We print and mail exactly what you provide. Cards sent to an incorrect or undeliverable address, or returned by the postal service, are not eligible for a refund, since the card was produced and mailed as ordered.

Prepaid credits

Prepaid credits are used to fund eligible orders and are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Unused credits remain on your account. If you believe credits were charged in error, contact us.

Mail timing

Any target arrival date is a goal, not a guarantee. Delivery timing depends on the USPS and is outside our control, so delays in postal delivery are not grounds for a refund.

How to request a cancellation or refund

Use the "Cancel order" action on your dashboard while it is available, or email hello@byinkly.com with your order number. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and may take a few business days to appear.
